Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan, known for her powerful vocals, has found herself at the center of social media criticism following a recent live performance. A video from one of her ongoing concerts, showing her performing energetic but unconventional dance steps to her popular track “Kamli Kamli,” has spread rapidly online, prompting a wave of trolling from netizens.
In the clip, Chauhan appears on stage in a shimmering pink two-piece outfit consisting of a sleeveless blouse and midi skirt. While delivering the hit song with her characteristic enthusiasm, she incorporates sudden and erratic movements that many viewers described as awkward or mismatched. The footage quickly gained traction on various platforms, drawing sharp reactions.
Online users did not hold back in their comments. Some questioned the performance outright, with remarks such as “What was that, brother?” Others compared it to a “seizure attack” or advised, “Please don’t try to dance like Shakira,” noting that imitating Hollywood singers did not suit her. Additional feedback acknowledged her vocal strengths, stating she “sings well and has a great voice but is not a good dancer at all,” while one commenter sarcastically asked, “What did the doctor say, when will you recover?”

Chauhan’s concerts have otherwise been well-received, attracting large crowds including Bollywood celebrities and fans. Her recent show in Pune drew praise for her rendition of a beloved Marathi song, with music composer Avdhoot Gupte publicly thanking her for captivating the audience. In another segment of the viral concert, Chauhan shared the stage with actress Sanya Malhotra for a dance sequence, where Malhotra’s performance earned widespread appreciation.
The singer, who began performing at age five and entered the film industry at 13 with the movie Shastra, has built a prolific career with numerous blockbuster songs. No official response has been issued by Chauhan or her team regarding the online criticism.
