Shanaya Kapoor Opens Up About Ex-Boyfriend’s Betrayal: Caught Messaging Five Women During Foreign Vacation

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shanaya Kapoor has shared a shocking personal revelation about a past relationship, detailing how she discovered her then-boyfriend was emotionally cheating on her with multiple women during an overseas trip.

In a candid appearance on the podcast ‘Relationshit Advice’, Shanaya recounted the incident, describing it as one of the ‘scariest’ chapters of her love life. The aspiring star explained that while on a seemingly perfect international vacation with her ex, she borrowed his phone to book a cab. A notification from his ex-girlfriend popped up, prompting her to check further. To her dismay, she uncovered flirty conversations with four other women, making it five in total. ‘The second girl popped up, the third, the fourth, the fifth. There were five girls he was messaging, she said, noting he was chatting with them as if single.

Shanaya immediately took screenshots and confided in her close friends, including childhood bestie and actress Ananya Panday. Ananya’s straightforward advice was blunt: ‘Catch a train and just come here,’ as the two were geographically close at the time. However, stranded in a foreign country, Shanaya felt trapped and had to pretend everything was fine during dinner and the remaining days of the trip.

When confronted, her ex downplayed the betrayal, insisting it was just messaging and ‘what’s the big deal,’ denying anything physical occurred. Shanaya firmly labeled it emotional cheating and ended the relationship. In a lighter note, she mentioned he later gifted her expensive guilty earrings to make amends, which she jokingly said she still wears, having earned them through the ordeal.

The revelation comes amid promotions for her recent film Tu Yaa Main, co-starring Adarsh Gourav. Shanaya’s openness highlights themes of trust, betrayal, and resilience in relationships, resonating with many amid discussions on emotional fidelity.
