Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ Trailer Breakdown: Aditya Dhar’s Two-Part Action Saga Sets December 2025 Ablaze

If someone had told me the biggest film of the year would be Dhurandhar releasing in December, I wouldn’t have believed it. But director Aditya Dhar has set the stakes incredibly high this time. Ranveer Singh’s comeback film trailer has now dropped, and this movie is the real deal. Watching it, you can confidently say they’re now in the big leagues.
This becomes clear when the hero’s world is talking while he stands silent, believing in actions over words. Whether you felt it or not, the trailer carries subtle inspirations from Animal—not just in violence, but in how they’ve structured the opening to achieve that feeling. It begins with a calm monologue, builds to a shocking moment, then explodes with impact. It’s excellent inspiration, learning from the best, and Aditya Dhar delivers justice to it. Unlike recent big R-rated films that went in scattered directions, this one feels focused.
Intense Masculinity and Stylish Character Reveals
The trailer’s intensity alone tells you this is a very manly movie. The use of rap and hard rock EDM music, while showcasing traditional conflict, appeals to both past and current generations in terms of taste and style. Even the character introductions are stylish: Major Iqbal ISI Agent of Death; Ajay Sainiyal Charioteer of Karma, inspired by Ajit Doval; Rahman Dakait Apex Predator; SP Chaudhary Aslam—The Djinn; and finally, last but not least, Wrath of God Ranveer Singh, whose character name remains undisclosed and mysterious. This portrayal is seriously impressive.
It’s now confirmed that Dhurandhar will release as a two-part saga. The first film arrives in December, followed by the second part six months later as a summer blockbuster. Whether this two-part format proves impactful remains to be seen, as such approaches don’t always work. However, given Indians’ current craving for violent and electrifying stories that feel authentic, Dhurandhar appears positioned to fill that gap.
Building Massive Anticipation
I’m not saying this lightly after the Dhurandhar teaser, this film has left such a massive impact that it’s become one of my most exciting movies of the year. R Madhavan breaks the fourth wall with a message that feels too good, and every person’s performance looks set to peak in this film.
Ranveer Singh, whom people were taking lightly I made a dedicated video about him after the Dhurandhar teaser because I can sense the greatness, though his choices sometimes hide it. But he can pull off one of the greatest Indian performances ever, and Dhurandhar is the perfect example to begin that journey. I think the time has come for Ranveer Singh to prove through this film what kind of performer he is and what he can do that the entire industry or world cannot.
Strategic Storytelling and Raw Appeal
While I was expecting them to reveal a bit more, they’re consciously keeping the story under wraps beyond the violence and mass moments. This is a deliberate decision they want you to experience the impactful, brutal, and mass feeling in theaters. Overall, watching the trailer, I’ll say I loved it. I loved its manliness in today’s times, the way to show the raw, unfiltered, instinctual true nature of man, this movie presents it beautifully.
The story feels quite robust. I know it’s a pretty unconventional statement, but I love these vigorous narratives that remind you of old cinema the physicality, when men were men. It’s going to be fun watching it. You just feel it. When you’ve been watching movies for so long, you understand what’s good and what isn’t. Dhurandhar is that good film you feel compelled to see.
I’m expecting a massive theatrical atmosphere. I hope they can pull off this two-part saga not everyone can. But they should have enough content for the second part. Share your opinions on what you think about this. I really liked the trailer, my expectations are high, and watching the trailer’s violence, tone, and style, I’m feeling the atmosphere building.
