Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor turned heads with a striking festive look as he visited the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai. The actor, currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film Ramayana: Part 1, chose a rich red silk kurta set that perfectly matched the celebratory mood of the occasion.
Priced at Rs 80,000, the outfit is the Abeer Kashidakari Kurta Set by designer Dolly J Studio. Crafted from luxurious red silk, the short kurta features intricate Kashidakari thread and kasab hand-embroidery along the keyhole placket, collar, and front bodice. Fine embroidered bootis and vertical motifs run down the sleeves, adding texture and traditional elegance. Styled by Usaamah Siddique, Ranbir paired the kurta with relaxed cream or white wide-leg trousers instead of conventional churidars, creating a contemporary yet respectful ethnic silhouette. Out of respect for the sacred space, he remained barefoot throughout the visit.

Beyond the fashion moment, Ranbir actively participated in the festivities. He offered prayers to Goddess Durga, greeted the paparazzi, and shared a warm reunion with filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, who directed his 2013 hit Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The evening’s highlight came when Ranbir joined singer Harshdeep Kaur on stage for a lively performance of the song “Kabira.” Holding the microphone, he sang along, encouraged the crowd to join in, and shared the stage with ease, delighting fans present at the pandal.
The appearance comes just weeks before the theatrical release of Ramayana: Rise of a Legend on November 5, 2026. In the film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir plays Lord Rama opposite Sai Pallavi as Sita, with Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.
Ranbir’s understated yet polished festive ensemble once again proved his ability to blend tradition with modern ease, making a memorable style statement during the Navratri and Durga Puja season.
