Priyadarshan Takes on Hera Pheri 3: Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty to Reunite in 2026

Director Priyadarshan revealed that he will begin scripting the movie Hera Pheri 3 starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the year 2026. The Franchise of Hera Pheri, from the year of 2000 has made its place a a most favourite one in the Indian cinema, the credit to its memorable characters, witty dialogues and evergreen humor. Actors Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal had lead the first two films ” Hera Pheri” and “Phir Hera Pheri” and now the film director has came up with the confirmation that the scripting for Hera Pheri 3 will begin in the year 2026. He also said that its going to be challenging. In an interview, Priyadarshan shared ” I plan to start work and start writing Hera Pheri 3 sometime next year. It is going to be very challenging to make the third part because there will be too many expectations’. He furtherly added that while making audiences cry or feel fear is relatively easy , generating pure, relatable humor without resorting to double to understand. The director noted that humor evolves over time and societal tastes change making it crucial to adapt accordingly. Since the beloved characters have aged, the narrative must ensure their journey remains believable.

Priyadarshan also stated that some situations in the film would be exaggerated but should still feel like ” this could happen”. However, he will only gain clarity once he starts writing. ” Once I put the pen to paper, inly then I would know. I have to really fight out the challenge and make a good script”, says the director.
