Son of Dawood’s Sister, Orry, Others Attended Lavish Parties in Dubai, Mumbai’, Claims Drug Trafficker

Mumbai’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has summoned social media sensation Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, as part of an ongoing probe into a drug syndicate tied to the notorious Dawood Ibrahim network. The development follows revelations from a recently deported trafficker, who implicated several high-profile figures in extravagant gatherings across Mumbai and Dubai.
The inquiry stems from the interrogation of Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, a key operative in the syndicate led by fugitive drug lord Salim Dola, a prominent associate of Dawood Ibrahim. Deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and arrested in Mumbai on November 5, Shaikh detailed his role in coordinating lavish rave parties frequented by Bollywood elites, politicians, and others. According to the ANC’s application for remand before a metropolitan magistrate court in Mumbai on November 13, these events drew attendees including Junaid Miandad—the son of Dawood’s late sister Haseena Parkar—Orry, actors Nora Fatehi and Shraddha Kapoor along with her brother Siddharth Kapoor, filmmakers Abbas-Mustan, rapper Loka, and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Zeeshan Siddique.

Shaikh confessed to orchestrating drug supply chains for these occasions, distributing substances such as cocaine, MDMA (Ecstasy) tablets, hashish, charas, and mephedrone. He also admitted to setting up multiple manufacturing units to support the operation. The ANC officer, speaking to Hindustan Times, emphasized that the investigation remains in its early phase, with Shaikh’s statements yet to be independently corroborated.
The broader case traces back to August 2022, when Mumbai Police’s crime branch and Ghatkopar ANC apprehended Mohammad Shahrukh Mohammad Shafi Shaikh in Nagpada, seizing mephedrone (MD) valued at ₹1.19 lakh. Subsequent arrests dismantled a mephedrone production site on a farm in Sangli district in March 2024, allegedly managed by Salim Dola and his son Tahe. Tahe, deported from the UAE, was detained by Mumbai Police in June, followed by the arrest of relative Mustaffa Mohammad Khubbawala the next month.
Orry’s representative appeared before the ANC on Thursday, explaining his absence from the city and requesting to join the probe after November 25. Police confirmed a follow-up date would be set soon. “We will question Orry about the claims made by Shaikh,” the officer told Hindustan Times. “We will decide whether to question other celebrities and political leaders mentioned by Shaikh after we question Orry.”
As reported by Hindustan Times earlier, the syndicate’s activities unraveled through persistent enforcement, highlighting the persistent nexus between narcotics trafficking and elite social circles. The ANC continues to pursue leads, aiming to validate the trafficker’s accounts and expand the crackdown.
