Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami took a moment to celebrate a personal milestone as he shared an emotional post for his daughter Aaira’s 10th birthday. The cricketer, known for his fiery spells on the pitch, turned tender as he marked the occasion with a touching tribute on Instagram.
Posting a series of photos with his daughter, the 34-year-old pacer wrote: “Darling, daughter, I still remember all the nights we spent staying up, talking, laughing and specifically your dance.” He continued with a heartfelt blessing: “I wish only the best for you in life. Off the field, Shami’s personal life has often been under public scrutiny. In 2018, his estranged wife Hasin Jahan filed an FIR against him and his family, alleging domestic violence and mental harassment, four years into their marriage. His last appearance in red-ball cricket came during the World Test Championship final nearly two years ago.
