Mahhi Vij’s Fiery Clapback: “Thu on You” to Trolls Linking Her With Nadim Nadz
Television actress Mahhi Vij has fiercely hit back at online trolls who have been spreading baseless romantic rumours linking her to Nadim Nadz, following her recent separation from actor Jay Bhanushali.
The speculation began after Mahhi shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to Nadim on Instagram, describing him as her “best friend” and expressing “I love you.” She had disabled comments on the post, but screenshots and discussions quickly fueled dating gossip across social media. Adding to the chatter, her daughter Tara also posted birthday wishes for Nadim, affectionately referring to him as “Abba.”
Actress Ankita Lokhande was among the first to defend Mahhi, publicly clarifying that Nadim has long served as a father figure to both Mahhi and Jay, as well as to their young daughter Tara, who has called him “Abba” for the past six years.
On Sunday, January 11, Mahhi addressed the controversy directly in a strongly worded video posted on Instagram. She firmly stated that Nadim remains her best friend and always will, emphasizing that trolls had tainted the pure meaning of the word “Abba.” Expressing deep frustration, she declared, “Shame on you… thu on you people for writing such shitty stuff about me and Nadim,” and accused them of stooping to filthy levels while many others respect him deeply.

Mahhi questioned why people cannot accept platonic expressions of love between friends, asking rhetorically if saying “I love you” to a best friend is now forbidden. She further warned that “hell is not far” for those spreading such malicious claims about her and the person she described as her “heart, soul, and my everything.”
The actress highlighted that her divorce from Jay was handled with mutual respect and no drama, suggesting that some netizens seem unable to accept this mature separation and instead seek controversy and negativity.
Through her candid outburst, Mahhi Vij has drawn a clear line against invasive speculation, underscoring the importance of respecting personal boundaries and long-standing familial bonds during difficult times.
