Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut publicly addressed comments made by several industry colleagues, naming Taapsee Pannu, Rakhi Sawant, Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana during remarks to the media. She accused them of directing vulgar, insulting and disrespectful statements toward her and her family.
Ranaut stated that individuals who had not achieved even a fraction of her level of success in life held no authority to offer her advice. She described such people as failures and said she had no interest in listening to their opinions. In her comments, she specifically referenced Ashutosh Rana for allegedly comparing her manner of speaking to that of a dog, Sonu Sood for remarks about her need to learn proper behaviour, Rakhi Sawant for vulgar comments about her character, and Taapsee Pannu for statements that insulted her parents, upbringing and background.
She further characterised those making such remarks as unwanted individuals who repeatedly targeted her with abuse in order to gain media attention. Ranaut insisted that critics should first attain a comparable position before commenting on her life. She listed the nature of the alleged remarks, which included comparisons to animals, abuse directed at her parents, and lewd observations, and declared that such comments would no longer be tolerated.
Ranaut dismissed her detractors in strong terms, describing them as unsuccessful and unappealing, and made clear that she would not allow them to associate themselves with her career or public image. She emphasised that enough was enough regarding the ongoing criticism.
In addition to the industry figures, she also criticised Baba Ramdev for raising questions about her character. The remarks came amid a period of heightened public attention on Ranaut following earlier statements she had made about younger generations and related social issues.
The actor’s direct naming of colleagues marked a notable escalation in her response to what she viewed as repeated personal attacks. Her comments underscored a firm stance against further commentary from those she regarded as less accomplished.
