Security Mishap at Sitaare Zameen Par Premiere: Salman Khan’s Bodyguard Mistakenly Pushes Junaid Khan
MUMBAI : A special screening of Aamir Khan’s latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par, turned heads not only for its star-studded guest list but also for an unexpected incident involving Salman Khan’s security team. A video circulating on social media, captures a moment where Salman’s bodyguard inadvertently pushed Aamir’s son, Junaid Khan, mistaking him for a fan during the chaotic premiere on Thursday night.
The event, held in Mumbai, saw Bollywood heavyweights like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in attendance to support Aamir’s much-anticipated project. As Salman navigated the crowd with tight security, his bodyguard was seen clearing a path, inadvertently nudging Junaid aside. The incident occurred amidst heightened security measures for Salman, prompted by ongoing safety concerns following threats from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Despite the brief mix-up, the premiere was marked by camaraderie. Videos shared by paparazzi accounts showed Salman engaging in playful banter with Aamir, joking that the Sitaare Zameen Par role was initially offered to him before Aamir decided to take it on himself. Aamir joined in the lighthearted exchange, entertaining the gathered media.
Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual successor to Aamir’s 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. The film, a remake of the Spanish movie Campeones, follows a basketball coach, played by Aamir, who trains a team of neurodivergent children. Genelia D’Souza stars alongside a cast of debutant actors, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, and others. The movie hit theaters on June 20, drawing praise for its heartfelt storytelling.

The premiere also saw Aamir accompanied by his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, and son, Azad Rao Khan, who posed together for photographs.
