Govinda Faced 4 AM Attack At Residence Before Accidental Gunshot Incident, Manager Reveals

Bollywood actor Govinda is back in the spotlight after his manager disclosed that the actor has been receiving death threats and survived an attack at his residence, adding new context to the recent self-inflicted gunshot incident.

Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, recently spoke to ANI and revealed that the actor narrowly escaped an assault by unidentified assailants at his own home. “He keeps getting threat calls. Thank God he had a gun with him the day he was attacked. He chased everyone away. Otherwise, God knows what could have happened,” Sinha told the news agency.

The manager further disclosed, “I rushed to him at 4 am. We also filed an FIR and have a video of what happened that night.” However, Shashi did not disclose the precise timing of the events or clarify which specific incident he was referring to. He mentioned that Govinda sustained injuries while defending himself during the confrontation.

Details of Govinda’s earlier gunshot incident

According to news agency ANI, Shashi Sinha had earlier explained that Govinda was preparing to travel to Kolkata when the accidental shooting occurred. While storing his licensed revolver in its case, the weapon slipped from his hand and a bullet discharged, striking his leg.

Sinha confirmed that doctors successfully removed the bullet and the actor’s condition was stable. Medical sources revealed to the press that the bullet hit approximately two inches below the knee. Following his hospitalization and subsequent discharge, Govinda expressed gratitude to his fans for their well-wishes and prayers for his swift recovery.
