Mumbai: Ranveer Singh’s latest release Dhurandhar 2 continues its unstoppable run at the box office, delivering yet another record-breaking performance that has left the industry stunned.
According to reports, the film crossed the massive 900-crore mark worldwide in merely six days of release. On its sixth day, which fell on a Tuesday, Dhurandhar 2 registered the highest Tuesday collection ever for a Bollywood film, surpassing the previous record held by Gadar 2.
The movie collected over 65 crore net in India and approximately 24 crore from overseas markets on Tuesday alone. This pushed its worldwide gross to nearly 940 crore, while its India net collection crossed 575 crore. Industry tracker Sacnilk reported a net collection of 56.55 crore on that day, comfortably clearing what is traditionally considered a speed-breaker for most releases.
The high-octane action drama, which features themes of national pride, has also displaced Bajrangi Bhaijaan from its position in the top rankings, reflecting shifting audience sentiments.
With momentum still strong, Dhurandhar 2 now faces the crucial test of sustaining collections through the weekdays. Trade observers are watching closely to see how far the Ranveer Singh-led film can climb in the coming days.
