Dhurandhar: The Revenge Crosses Rs 800 Crore Worldwide on Day 5

Mumbai: Aditya Dhar’s high-octane spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge, headlined by Ranveer Singh alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi and others, has stormed past the Rs 800 crore global mark in just five days, reaffirming its status as one of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters of 2026.

The film, which hit theatres on March 19, 2026, witnessed the expected Monday dip following a blockbuster opening weekend. According to data compiled, the Ranveer Singh starrer collected Rs 65 crore net in India on its first Monday (March 23) across 20,382 shows — a drop of over 40 per cent from Sunday.

Breaking down the India net collections:

  • Paid previews (March 18): Rs 43 crore
  • Day 1 (Thursday): Rs 102.55 crore
  • Day 2 (Friday): Rs 80.72 crore
  • Day 3 (Saturday): Rs 113 crore
  • Day 4 (Sunday): Rs 114.85 crore
  • Day 5 (Monday): Rs 65 crore

This takes the cumulative India net to Rs 519.12 crore and India gross to Rs 619.76 crore. Overseas markets added another Rs 210 crore, pushing the worldwide total to Rs 829.76 crore across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam versions.

On Monday itself, the film earned Rs 60 crore in Hindi, Rs 3.50 crore in Telugu, Rs 1.20 crore in Tamil, and Rs 0.15 crore each in Kannada and Malayalam. Overall occupancy stood at 44.1 per cent on day 5, down from 79.7 per cent on Sunday.

The sequel continues the story of undercover agent Hamza (Ranveer Singh), who tightens his control over the underworld and political landscape of Lyari after eliminating its dreaded leader in the first part. The ensemble cast also features R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and a special cameo by Yami Gautam.

For context, the original Dhurandhar (December 2025), also directed by Aditya Dhar with Ranveer Singh in the lead and Akshaye Khanna as the antagonist, had amassed Rs 1,307.35 crore gross worldwide.

The Times of India notes that these figures, sourced from various industry trackers, are approximate and may be updated once official studio numbers are finalised. The film’s strong multi-language performance and massive opening weekend have already placed it among the fastest earners in recent Bollywood history.
