In India, it raked in ₹27 crore net—equivalent to ₹32.40 crore gross—far surpassing the anticipated ₹18-20 crore range. Buoyed by enthusiastic audience feedback, the film pushed past the ₹25 crore threshold by Friday evening, prompting theaters in key hubs like Mumbai to add late-night and early-morning screenings for round-the-clock availability.
Internationally, Dhurandhar added $850,000 to its tally, propelling the global day-one total to ₹40 crore. This robust start positions the movie to potentially breach the ₹100 crore worldwide milestone as early as Saturday or by Sunday, setting the stage for a promising extended run.
The numbers mark a personal triumph for Singh, eclipsing his prior record-holder Padmaavat, which grossed just over ₹37 crore on its 2018 debut. Dhurandhar also topped this year’s Bollywood heavyweights, including Saiyaara with its ₹29.40 crore opening, though it trailed Chhaava’s impressive ₹47.40 crore launch.
