Chahal’s Enigmatic Instagram Post Fuels Speculation Post-Divorce

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal recently shared a cryptic Instagram post, stirring speculation among fans, just hours after his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma, spoke publicly about their divorce. The post, featuring scenic photos from Kirkstone Pass in England, was captioned, “Million feelings, Zero words,” prompting many to interpret it as a response to Verma’s comments during a Humans of Bombay podcast on YouTube. The interview, which gained significant traction online, marked Verma’s first public discussion about their separation, finalized in March 2025.
Verma, a choreographer, recounted her emotional turmoil during the divorce proceedings, revealing she broke down in court. She also addressed Chahal’s controversial choice to wear a T-shirt reading “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” at their final hearing, saying, “Are bhai, WhatsApp kar deta. T-shirt kyun pehna hai?” (You could’ve sent it on WhatsApp. Why wear the T-shirt?). Her remarks highlighted the public scrutiny she faced, with some blaming her for the split. Chahal’s post, shared shortly after the podcast aired, led to varied reactions online. One user quipped, “Be your own sugar daddy,” while another commented, “Dhanashree ka podcast dekhkar aya hai” (This came after watching Dhanashree’s podcast).

The couple, married in Gurugram in December 2020 after meeting during the COVID-19 pandemic, separated in June 2022 and filed for divorce by mutual consent in February 2025. Chahal had previously discussed the divorce on Raj Shamani’s YouTube channel, denying cheating allegations and explaining his T-shirt choice as a reaction to unspecified events. Despite their joint statement confirming the split, neither has detailed the reasons behind it. Verma faced online trolling over rumored ₹60 crore alimony demands, which her family refuted. Chahal’s latest post has reignited public interest, with fans speculating about its underlying message.
