Aamir Khan Eyes Mahabharat as Potential Final Film

Bollywood icon Aamir Khan has revealed his plans to focus on a grand cinematic adaptation of the Mahabharat following the release of his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par. In a conversation on entrepreneur Raj Shamani’s podcast, Khan expressed his deep connection to the ancient Indian epic, describing it as a story rich with emotion, complexity, and grandeur that captures the essence of human experience. He suggested that the project’s immense scale might make it his final acting endeavor.

Khan, speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, previously emphasized the monumental scope of the Mahabharat, noting that crafting a detailed script alone could take years. He remains undecided about whether he will act in the film, stating that casting decisions will depend on finding the right fit for each role. Additionally, he is considering passing the directorial responsibilities to another filmmaker, acknowledging that the epic’s vast narrative may require multiple films to tell the complete story.

As Khan prepares for the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, his ambition to bring the Mahabharat to the screen underscores his commitment to transformative storytelling.
