It’s a girl! Arbaaz Khan and Sshura Khan welcome their first child

In a heartwarming development for Bollywood’s extended family, actor and filmmaker Arbaaz Khan and his wife, makeup artist Sshura Khan, have become parents to a baby girl. Although the couple has not issued a formal statement, reports from multiple media sources, drawing on information from family insiders, have verified the birth.

The infant arrived on Sunday at PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, following Sshura’s admission to the facility on Thursday, October 2. A source from Arbaaz’s team shared with Hindustan Times that “both the mom and the baby are fine. It’s an emotional moment for the whole family and they are just happy.”

Revelry has quickly enveloped the household. Arbaaz’s brother, the renowned Salman Khan, who had been away from Mumbai on professional commitments, hurried back to join in the festivities. On Saturday, various relatives were observed entering the hospital, while Arbaaz himself made repeated trips to support his wife during her stay.

This marks Arbaaz’s second foray into fatherhood; he shares a 22-year-old son, Arhaan Khan, with his ex-wife, actress and TV host Malaika Arora. The pair parted ways in 2016 and finalized their divorce the following year.

Arbaaz and Sshura’s union, sealed through a private nikah ritual on December 24, 2023, at the home of Arbaaz’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma in Mumbai, caught many off guard. Just weeks ago, the duo marked the impending arrival with a subdued baby shower in late September, graced by intimate circles that included Salman Khan and young Arhaan. Dressed in matching yellow outfits, the expectant parents beamed for photographers outside the venue, exuding anticipation ahead of the event.

Prior to his marriage to Sshura, Arbaaz had been in a prolonged relationship with Italian actress Giorgia Andriani. He has since maintained a low profile regarding his private affairs. The wedding reveal in December featured Arbaaz’s touching Instagram post: “In the presence of our loved ones, me and mine begin a lifetime of love and togetherness from this day on! Need all your blessings and good wishes on our special day!”
