Aditya Dhar Hails ‘Dhurandhar’ Composer For Creating 14 Songs In 11 Days

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has publicly commended music composer Shashwat Sachdev for his exceptional work on Dhurandhar: The Revenge, highlighting what he described as a rare creative achievement, NDTV reported.

The director shared that Sachdev composed 14 songs in just 11 days for the sequel, while also completing the film’s background score within three days. According to NDTV, Dhar described this level of productivity as highly unusual in the global film industry, emphasizing the composer’s dedication and creative stamina.

In a detailed note, Dhar reflected on their long-standing collaboration, revealing that Sachdev had earlier delivered a similarly intense output for the first Dhurandhar film. He recalled that nine songs were composed in nine days for the original project, with the background score completed in six days. The filmmaker suggested that replicating such efficiency for the sequel further underscores Sachdev’s consistency and talent.

NDTV also noted that Dhar’s message carried a personal tone, as he described the composer as more than just a collaborator. He referred to Sachdev as someone with whom he has shared creative challenges, ideas, and demanding working conditions during the filmmaking process.

The Dhurandhar franchise has drawn significant attention not only for its box office success but also for its music. By blending retro Hindi tracks, classic qawwalis, and independent sounds, the albums from both films have maintained a strong presence on global music charts for months, according to NDTV.

Dhar’s remarks come as the sequel continues to generate buzz, with its soundtrack playing a key role in sustaining audience interest. His appreciation highlights the often unseen effort behind film music production and underscores the importance of creative partnerships in shaping a project’s success.
