Actress Sandeepa Dhar criticises Botox Trend !

Actress Sandeepa Dhar, familiar for her roles in popular web series like Abhay and Mai, has recently came up in light for criticising the normalization of Botox Treatment calling it a “big deal” and warning that it sets a wrong example for young girls who might collect money from here and there to undergo such treatments/procedures.
The actress shared that actresses are constantly told they have a shelf life and are expected to maintain a certain aspects. The actress said that actresses are expected to always look a certain way. As the actresses grow older and start noticing lines on their faces by witnessing the process of aging which is precisely a beautiful thing the industry of acting makes it feel like a wrong thing.
In an interview she even stated” As I’m growing older, that is something I’ve come to realise that every line on my face, there’s a story in it, it’ll only add to my character. I don’t need to succumb to injections and surgeries to look like a 21 year old. I’m not a 21 year old.Additionally, Sandeepa criticized an actress who, in a past interview, casually mentioned, “Yes, I’ve had two or three things done. What’s the big deal? I’ll admit it.” In response, Sandeepa expressed her disappointment, emphasizing that it bothers her when people try to downplay such actions. She explained that it is, in fact, a big deal, as it involves undergoing a serious surgical procedure.
Sandeepa further pointed out, “There are 16-17-year-old girls who gather money from various sources just to say, ‘I want to change something about myself.’ Do people realize how many lose their lives on the operating table? It’s extremely risky; at the end of the day, it’s still a surgery. Honestly, surgeries should only be done if they are necessary to save your life. That should be the only reason for going under the knife.”
Sandeep was recently seen in the web series Pyar Ka Professor, which was released on MX Player.
