India’s stock market reversed yesterday’s gains on Thursday, May 22, as both the Sensex and Nifty 50 experienced significant declines. The Sensex plummeted over 800 points, while the Nifty 50 fell below the 24,550 mark during today’s trading session.
Opening at 81,323.05, down from its previous close of 81,596.63, the Sensex dropped more than 1%, hitting an intraday low of 80,727.11. Similarly, the Nifty 50 began the day at 24,733.95, after closing yesterday at 24,813.45, and slid over 1% to reach an intraday low of 24,541.60.
