Mumbai : After significant fluctuations in recent days, gold prices saw a mild uptick on Saturday, while silver remained relatively stable, according to market data and local price reports. Precious metal markets across major Indian cities have experienced sharp daily changes, with buyers urged to check the latest rates before purchasing jewellery or bullion.
City-Wise Gold Prices (per 10 grams)
In Delhi, 24-carat gold traded at around ₹1,56,750, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,43,700 and 18-carat at ₹1,17,600. Mumbai saw 24-carat gold at ₹1,56,600, 22-carat at ₹1,43,550 and 18-carat at ₹1,17,450. In Chennai, prices were slightly higher with 24-carat at ₹1,57,310, 22-carat at ₹1,44,200 and 18-carat at ₹1,23,500.
Kolkata and Ahmedabad reported similar rates, with 24-carat gold at about ₹1,56,600–₹1,56,650 and 22-carat at ₹1,43,550–₹1,43,600. In Lucknow and Patna, 24-carat gold hovered near ₹1,56,750–₹1,56,650. Hyderabad recorded slightly lower prices, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,56,000.
Silver Prices
Silver continued to show stability after recent volatile swings. In Delhi and Mumbai, 10 grams of silver were trading at approximately ₹2,850, while 100 grams cost around ₹28,500. Similar pricing was reported in Chennai and Kolkata. Gold and silver remain deeply embedded in Indian culture, not just as investment assets but also as symbols of prosperity and tradition especially during weddings, festivals, and auspicious occasions.
