Mexican Navy Ship With 200 Onboard Hits New York’s Brooklyn Bridge

New York : A Mexican Navy ship — with 277 onboard — crashed into New York City’s Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday evening, leaving at least two dead and 19 injured, including two in critical condition, New York Mayor Eric Adams said. All injuries were reported from the ship while the cause of the accident is not yet clear.
At this time, of the 277 on board, 19 sustained injuries, 2 of which remain in critical condition, and 2 more have sadly passed away from their injuries,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams wrote on X. In a video that has gone viral, the exact moment leading up to the crash is captured. The footage shows several onlookers standing at the harbour watching the ship Cuauhtemoc, decked with lights and carrying mostly cadets, before two of its 147-foot masts crashed into the bridge, snapping and subsequently collapsing.
