Kangana Ranaut Calls Modi ‘Alpha Male Ka Baap’ in Deleted Post Criticizing Trump, Cites BJP Request

New Delhi: Bollywood actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut stirred controversy on Thursday after referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the “alpha male ka baap” in comparison to former U.S. President Donald Trump. The remark, shared in a now-deleted social media post, was in response to Trump reportedly advising Apple CEO Tim Cook against manufacturing in India.
In her post on X (formerly Twitter), Ranaut questioned whether Trump’s comments stemmed from “personal jealousy or diplomatic insecurity,” drawing comparisons between the two leaders. “1. He is the American president but the world’s most loved leader is the Indian Prime Minister. 2. Trump’s second term vs. the Indian PM’s third. 3. Undoubtedly, Trump is an alpha male, but our PM is sab alpha males ka baap,” she wrote, ending the message with a prompt to her followers: “What do you think?”
Ranaut later confirmed she deleted the post after receiving a call from BJP national president J.P. Nadda. In a follow-up message, she said, “Respected national president Shri @JPNadda ji called and asked me to delete the tweet… I regret posting that very personal opinion of mine, as per instructions I immediately deleted it from Instagram as well.”
This incident adds to a growing list of controversies involving Ranaut since her entry into politics. In 2024, the Mandi MP faced backlash during election season in Haryana after alleging in an interview that the 2020–21 farmers’ protests involved serious crimes and were part of a conspiracy to destabilize the country. The BJP quickly distanced itself from her comments, stating that her views did not represent the party’s stance.
Ranaut officially entered the political arena in 2024, contesting and winning the Lok Sabha seat from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, on a BJP ticket.
