Situation Under Control in Kutch, No Need for Panic: District Collector

Bhuj: Although a ceasefire was declared following the recent escalation between India and Pakistan, Pakistan reportedly violated the truce within hours at several locations, keeping Indian security forces on high alert. Amid this tense atmosphere, rumors have been spreading rapidly. On Saturday, reports emerged that Pakistani drones were seen in the skies over Jakhau and Naliya, near the international maritime border in Kutch’s Abdasa taluka. However, no official confirmation has been issued regarding these drone sightings.

District Collector Assures Public There’s No Cause for Concern

Late Saturday night, the District Collector issued a statement clarifying that the situation is completely under control and there is no reason for the public to worry. As a precautionary measure, streetlights have been turned off in parts of Kutch, although vehicular movement remains unrestricted. The administration has advised residents to use lights only when necessary, based on personal judgment and safety needs. Notably, no warning sirens were sounded in Kutch throughout the day, offering some relief to the public amid partial darkness.

No Confirmed Drone Sightings, Public Urged to Remain Calm

Sources indicated that drones may have been spotted near Naliya and Jakhau, but official agencies have not confirmed these reports. Authorities reiterated that people should not panic or give in to fear. In Jamnagar, the local collector announced that there will be no blackout on May 11. Should the need arise, a prompt decision will be made, and the public will be informed accordingly.
