Political leaders across India praised the Indian Army on social media following a series of precision strikes targeting terror camps in Pakistan. The action comes in retaliation for the recent Pahalgam attack that left 26 people dead.
According to official sources, the Indian military struck nine locations associated with anti-India terror operations. The strikes reportedly hit areas including Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh posted a patriotic “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” on X, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath echoed with a “Jai Hind, Jai Hind.” Union Minister Piyush Goyal also expressed support, sharing a graphic titled “Operation Sindoor” with the same patriotic slogan.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper cited Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, who condemned the strikes as a “cowardly attack.” The military response has heightened tensions in the region, following a militant incident in the Kashmir Valley.
