Uttarakhand CM Prays for PM Modi’s Strength at Kedarnath Reopening Amid Pahalgam Attack Concerns

On Friday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the newly reopened Kedarnath temple, which welcomed devotees after its six-month winter closure, to offer prayers for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strength in combating the “demons of Pahalgam.” Dhami expressed his hopes for Modi’s long and healthy life, emphasizing the importance of the prime minister’s leadership for India’s progress. Speaking to reporters outside the temple, he specifically prayed for Modi to have the resolve to address those responsible for the brutal killings in Pahalgam.
Addressing a crowd near the temple, Dhami highlighted the significant infrastructure developments at Kedarnath, crediting Modi’s personal interest in the site. He noted that reconstruction projects worth over Rs 2,000 crore are underway, which will enhance the convenience of devotees visiting the Himalayan shrine. Among these, Dhami pointed to the recently approved Sonprayag-Kedarnath ropeway project, sanctioned by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs under Modi’s leadership, which promises a safer and more accessible journey for pilgrims. The chief minister underscored that ensuring the safety of Char Dham Yatra pilgrims remains a top priority for the state government.
