Igatpuri (Maharashtra): Former India captain, dependable batsman and recently retired cricketer Ajinkya Rahane has built a luxurious villa amid the mountains in Igatpuri, which has been attracting considerable attention.
The former India and Mumbai cricketer has had this magnificent villa built amid the Sahyadri mountain range, near Vaitarna Lake. The stunning property features five spacious bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a beautiful infinity pool and a sports room.

The villa offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, along with glimpses of the lake. In short, the property is nestled amid spectacular natural beauty.
Rahane and his family have named this luxurious holiday home ‘Raaya Estate’. He had the villa built after the COVID-19 pandemic, with special emphasis on open spaces and a natural ambience. Rahane has also incorporated memories from his childhood into the design of the villa, which features soothing, light colours.
Rahane has dedicated a special room to cricket. Reflecting his cricketing journey, the room features an extensive collection of memorable match scores. He has also displayed his bats, balls, cap, team jerseys and photographs with his teammates.
Rahane considers this room the most special part of the villa and becomes emotional whenever he visits it. In an interview, he said, “Whenever I enter this special room, I get goosebumps. There is no limit to the excitement and emotion I feel.”
