Jadeja Dismisses Jadeja in the Ranji Trophy!

Rajkot: There was a time when two players with the surname Jadeja featured in the same Ranji Trophy team. Now, the situation has taken an interesting turn, with one Jadeja successfully claiming the wicket of another.

Thirty-seven-year-old Ravindra Jadeja and 36-year-old Dharmendrasinh Jadeja are both left-arm spin-bowling all-rounders. The only difference is that Ravindra Jadeja has represented India, while Dharmendrasinh Jadeja is yet to make his international debut for the country.

First Wicket After Leaving Saurashtra

Ravindra Jadeja represents Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy. Dharmendrasinh Jadeja was also part of the Saurashtra team until recently, but he has now joined Chhattisgarh.

Interestingly, Dharmendrasinh claimed Saurashtra’s first wicket in their opening match of the new Ranji Trophy season on Sunday. He dismissed opener Harvik Desai, who scored 20 runs, leg before wicket (LBW).

Coming to the main story, Ravindra Jadeja completed his century for Saurashtra in the first innings on Monday, scoring 102 runs off 209 balls, including seven fours. However, shortly after reaching the milestone, he ended up giving a catch straight back to Dharmendrasinh off his bowling.

Saurashtra posted a total of 392 runs, with Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal bringing the innings to an end.
