Days before Bigg Boss 20 locks its doors, one name is cutting through the usual celebrity chatter: YouTuber Nitish Rajput. Reports circulating since early September suggest the research-driven digital creator could be among the housemates when Salman Khan’s milestone season premieres on 6 September on Colors TV and JioHotstar.
Makers have not confirmed the lineup. That has not stopped the speculation. Rajput’s rumoured entry stands out because he is not a television regular or reality-show veteran. He built an 8 million-plus subscriber YouTube audience with long-form videos on politics, governance, history and social issues. His calm, sourced storytelling found a large following among students and young professionals.
Born on 4 October 1989 in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and raised in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, Rajput holds a B.Tech in Information Technology. He worked in IT before launching his channel in 2020. Videos on the Aryan Khan case, the Odisha train tragedy and the education system crossed tens of millions of views. Actor John Abraham publicly praised his fact-based approach. He has also authored The Broken Pillars of Democracy.
The same outspoken style brought controversy. In February 2026 a video examining alleged irregularities in SSC examinations and vendor contracts led Eduquity Technologies to file a ₹2.5 crore defamation suit. In May 2025 Pakistan blocked his channel after a video on Balochistan. Those episodes have only sharpened interest in how he might fare under 24-hour cameras.
Other names linked to the season include Kushal Tanwar (Gullu), Mahhi Vij, Kanika Mann, Isha Rikhi, Qazi Touqeer, Mary Kom and Geeta Basra. The theme this year is “Tathas-two,” with hints of a second-house or extra-life twist. Whether Rajput walks in on premiere night remains unconfirmed. If he does, Bigg Boss 20 will test a digital analyst in the most analog of arenas: raw human conflict, nominations and weekend war-room sessions with Salman Khan. Fans will find out soon enough.
