In a road accident in Madhya Pradesh on Friday, a sleeper bus traveling from Lucknow to Indore crashed into the safety wall of a bridge, killing a Bengaluru police inspector and three of his fellow passengers. Serious injuries were sustained by twelve additional passengers.
Around 8.30 am, the driver lost control of the car while negotiating a hairpin bend on the flyover of the Biaora bypass in Rajgarh district. The police claim that Ravi K B, 45, an inspector at the Southeast Cybercrime Station, was sleeping on the top berth. Several people were thrown off the bus as a result of the crash’s impact shattering the windows. According to an officer, Ravi died after falling from the flyover.
According to the police, Ravi and his group traveled to Madhya Pradesh as part of an investigation into cybercrime.
It is still unknown who the other Bengaluru police officers on the bus are. But according to the cops, they were secure.
“A team from the Southeast CEN police station had traveled to Madhya Pradesh in connection with a cybercrime case and arrested two accused,” stated Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh. Ravi and two other team members stayed in Madhya Pradesh, while others went back to Bengaluru.
Singh continued, “The team had stayed back to apprehend another accused in the case.”
