Scheduled from November 1, 2026, to March 7, 2027, the extended festival offers ample time for visitors to experience its unique charm at Dhordo. The event highlights the stark yet stunning landscape of the Rann of Kutch, particularly mesmerizing under moonlight.

Planners recommend aligning trips with special periods for an enhanced experience. Full moon phases, when the white salt flats glow ethereally, fall on November 22-25, December 21-24, January 20-23, and February 18-21. Those seeking quieter visits can opt for new moon dates: November 9, December 8, January 7, and February 6. The festival also coincides with festive weeks, including Diwali from November 8 to 14, Christmas from December 18 to January 2, and Valentine’s Week from February 7 to 14, adding layers of celebration.

Attendees of all ages and interests find plenty to enjoy. Cultural enthusiasts can immerse themselves in vibrant folk music and dance performances, traditional puppet shows, and displays of skilled artisans presenting Kutchi handicrafts, Bell Art, and Rogan Art. Adventure seekers have access to a range of activities, including ATV rides, ziplining, paintball, archery, rock climbing, rappelling, Segway tours, bull rides, bungee trampoline, high rope courses, air gun shooting, bouncy moon walker, and box cricket.

For those preferring relaxation, wellness options such as spa treatments, yoga sessions, and sound healing provide rejuvenation amid the desert setting. Shopping opportunities abound in local markets, where visitors can browse and purchase handmade items featuring Bandhani textiles, Ajrakh prints, leather crafts, lacquer work, intricate embroidery, and other regional handicrafts. Traditional local cuisine further enriches the sensory experience.

A limited-time 25 percent discount on ticket bookings is available from July 31 to August 2, allowing cost savings for those securing preferred dates early. The festival originated in 2005 as a modest three-day event and has since grown into a major 100-day celebration. It has drawn more than two million visitors from over 30 countries, establishing itself as a premier destination for experiencing Gujarat’s rich heritage and the ethereal beauty of the White Desert.
