Pakistan Deputy PM Ishaq Dar’s Grandson Arrested in Lahore Over Alleged Abduction, Gangrape of Two Foreign Women

Muhammad Raza Dar, the grandson of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, has been arrested along with four other suspects in connection with the alleged abduction and gangrape of two foreign women in Lahore, police said on Friday. One suspect remains absconding.

The arrested accused Muhammad Raza Dar, Hassan Raza, Sikandar Khan and Sajid Ali were produced before a Lahore court, which remanded them to five days of police custody. According to police, Raza Dar has been identified as the prime suspect in the case.

“Since it is a very sensitive matter as a close relative of Deputy PM Ishaq Dar is involved in this high-profile case, police are investigating it from all aspects,” a police officer said.

Two Foreign Nationals Allegedly Kidnapped, Assaulted and Held for Ransom

According to the investigation, the two women one from the Netherlands and the other from Venezuela were allegedly abducted in Lahore on June 29 and gangraped by five men.

Police said the accused allegedly assaulted the women, subjected them to severe physical abuse and demanded a ransom of $1.5 million for their release. The suspects also allegedly threatened to kill the victims and sell their body parts if the ransom demand was not met.

The women were eventually rescued after one of the victims managed to contact her father in the Netherlands, who immediately informed the Lahore Police. Authorities launched a rescue operation after receiving the alert through a call made from Spain by the victim’s father.

One of the women told investigators that soon after arriving in Lahore, Raza Dar and the other accused allegedly abducted them and took them to a house, where they were allegedly gangraped and held while a ransom was demanded.

Case Registered, One Accused Still on the Run

Lahore Police registered a case on Thursday against five suspects under Sections 365A (kidnapping for ransom) and 375A (gangrape) of the Pakistan Penal Code. Four of the accused have been arrested, while the fifth suspect remains at large. Police said raids are underway to apprehend him.

According to the victims, they first met Raza Dar in Singapore in October 2025, after which he invited them to visit Pakistan. The women and Raza Dar were reportedly business partners in a cryptocurrency venture. court official said the victims identified Raza Dar as the “prime suspect” when the accused were presented before a magistrate.

The complainants also alleged that they were secretly filmed during their captivity and were later blackmailed using the recordings.
