Air India A1171 Probe Nears Final Stage, But Officials Say: ” No Room To Rush Conclusion”

Ahmedabad: The investigation into the Air India Flight A1171 crash has reached its final stage, but officials say the process is still far from over. More than a year after the tragic accident that killed over 250 people, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is now focused on final verification of technical findings before releasing its report.

Sources indicate that most of the core analysis flight data, cockpit recordings, and system performance has already been completed. The current stage is about cross checking every detail with international aviation experts to ensure there are no gaps or errors in the final reconstruction of events.

Early findings had pointed to a sudden loss of thrust shortly after take off, but investigators have not confirmed a final cause. Officials say it would be premature to blame any single factor until the entire technical review is complete.

Meanwhile, speculation continues outside the official probe, but authorities have urged restriant, stressing that only verified evidence will form part of the final report.

For families of victims, the wait continues, as they seek clear answers and closure. Officials, however maintain that aviation investigations cannot be rushed and accuracy remains the top priority.

The final report is expected once all findings are fully validated and reviewed with global aviation safety experts.
