Bomb Threat Targets Diljit Dosanjh’s Ludhiana Home Days After Manager’s House Attack

Ludhiana: In a disturbing development, a bomb threat email has been sent to the residence of popular Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh in Ludhiana, coming just days after an alleged armed attack on the house of his manager in Haryana. Notably, the singer does not reside at the Ludhiana property.

The threatening message was received on the official email address of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation early on Sunday morning. It contained threats to blow up both the Ludhiana Mayor’s residence and office, as well as Diljit Dosanjh’s house. According to the email, the Mayor’s house was to be targeted by 1:11 pm, while the singer’s property was scheduled for 9:11 pm. The communication arrived at 7:28 am on the official IDs of the Municipal Corporation and the office of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Commissioner. Authorities were promptly notified, and police were informed.

The email was purportedly sent by a group calling itself the ‘Khalistan National Party’. This incident follows reports of an attack on the house of Diljit Dosanjh’s manager, Gurpartap Singh Kang, in Gonder village of Karnal district, Haryana, on May 13. Allegations surfaced that gunshots were fired at the property, though no formal police complaint was registered. Haryana Police later stated that no evidence of firing was discovered at the site.

Security measures have been stepped up in response. A Ludhiana official confirmed that police personnel have been deployed at Dosanjh’s residence in the city, despite the singer not living there. The threat appears linked to recent events during one of Diljit Dosanjh’s concerts in Canada, where he reportedly asked pro-Khalistan protesters to leave the venue after they displayed related posters.

This sequence of events has raised concerns about the safety of the prominent artist and his associates. Local authorities continue to investigate the origins and credibility of the email threat while maintaining heightened vigilance around the mentioned locations. The Ludhiana Police and Municipal Corporation are coordinating efforts to ensure public safety amid these alarming developments.
