Bengaluru: A viral CCTV clip from a gym in Karnataka’s Hassan shows a workout dispute escalating into a brutal assault, leaving a young man critically injured in the ICU.
A shocking incident from Karnataka’s Hassan has triggered outrage on social media after a CCTV video from a local gym captured a violent assault that reportedly left a young man with a severe skull fracture and in a coma. According to media reports, the incident took place at M.J. Fitness gym, where a seemingly minor shoulder collision during a workout session allegedly turned into a serious physical attack.
As reported by the Free Press Journal, the victim, identified as Kirthan, was exercising inside the gym when he accidentally brushed shoulders with another man named Varun. What initially appeared to be a small misunderstanding quickly escalated into a heated exchange between the two men. Moments later, CCTV footage allegedly showed Varun attacking Kirthan with a forceful blow to the head.

The impact caused Kirthan to collapse instantly on the gym floor as other members rushed to help him. The viral video circulating online also reportedly includes medical visuals showing scans and images of severe head injuries, including a fractured skull and brain trauma. Social media claims linked to the footage state that the victim slipped into a coma and is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU.
The disturbing visuals have sparked widespread concern online, with many users demanding strict action against the accused. Police have reportedly registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
