Mumbai : Former Indian Cricketer Yograj Singh recently revealed an incident involving Abhishek Sharma that highlighted his strict coaching style. According to Yograj, he once made Abhishek mop the gym floor after the youngster arrived late for training, saying discipline was always non-negotiable in his academy.
However, Yograj also admitted that his son, former Indian star Yuvraj Singh, belives in a very different approach while guiding young players. He said Yuvraj Singh, does not support forcing children or putting them under extreme pressure, preferring to encourage them with understanding and freedom instead.
The contrasting views between father and son have sparked discussion among cricket fans, especially as Abhishek continues to rise as one India’s promising talents. While Yograj’s old school methods focused on toughness and discipline, Yuvraj’s mindset reflects a more modern approach to mentoring young athletes.
Despite this differences, both share the same goal helping the next generation of Indian cricketer succeed at the highest level.
