
In a devastating early morning accident in Telangana, five people lost their lives when a speeding Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle slammed into the rear of a car on the Mahabubnagar bypass.
The incident took place around 1 am on Monday at the Palakonda area. According to preliminary details, the car had slowed down to execute a U-turn when the high-powered bike, approaching from behind at considerable speed, rammed into its rear. The force of the collision proved fatal for all involved.
Both the rider and the pillion rider on the Hayabusa motorcycle died instantly at the scene. In the car, three passengers seated in the rear sustained critical injuries and succumbed to them. The victims from the car were identified as Arsha Begum, 31, Upeja, aged 7, and two-year-old Umar, all residents of Mahabubnagar. One of the motorcycle riders was named as Yajub Afzal, 25, a resident of Hyderabad. The identity of the second person on the bike is still being established by authorities.
Mahabubnagar Rural police confirmed the timing of the crash but noted that no formal complaint had been received so far. Investigations into the exact circumstances, including speed, road conditions, and possible contributing factors, are underway.
