Gold and Silver Prices Ease on MCX in Early Trade

Mumbai: Gold and silver prices witnessed a modest decline on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) during early trading on the first business day of the week.

According to market updates, around 10 AM, the price of gold for 10 grams stood at ₹1,51,048 on the MCX, reflecting a drop of more than ₹300 per 10 grams. The contract had touched a low of ₹1,50,860 and a high of ₹1,51,347 so far in the session.

Silver prices also moved lower. At approximately 10:20 AM, the price for one kilogram of silver was quoted at ₹2,49,968 on the MCX, down by over ₹900 per kg. The metal recorded an intraday low of ₹2,49,760 and a high of ₹2,51,231.

The declines come as the precious metals market opens the week on a subdued note, though the corrections remain relatively mild so far. Traders and investors across the country are closely monitoring these movements for cues on physical market rates in their respective cities.
