Delhi Cop’s Gunfire Kills Delivery Agent, Injures Another

A food delivery worker was shot dead and another man injured after a Delhi Police constable allegedly opened fire following a heated argument in southwest Delhi, according to a report by NDTV.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday near Jafarpur Kalan in the Dwarka area. As reported the accused—identified as head constable Neeraj—was involved in a verbal dispute with two men, including 21-year-old delivery agent Pandav Kumar. The confrontation escalated suddenly when the constable allegedly fired a shot at close range.

The bullet struck Pandav Kumar in the chest while he was seated on a motorcycle. It then passed through his body and hit another man, Krishna, who was sitting behind him, injuring him in the abdomen. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital immediately after the shooting.

Doctors declared Pandav Kumar dead upon arrival, while Krishna remains under treatment for his injuries.

Preliminary information suggests the altercation may have been triggered during or after a gathering in the area, possibly linked to a late-night celebration. Police sources cited by NDTV indicated that the accused officer lived nearby and had confronted the group, which allegedly led to the argument and subsequent firing.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and further legal action is expected. The case has raised serious concerns about the misuse of firearms by law enforcement personnel and the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting.
