Trump Event Shooter Names Kash Patel As Only Official Off Target

In the aftermath of the shooting incident at a high-profile event attended by former US President Donald Trump, investigators have uncovered details of a manifesto written by the accused gunman, shedding light on his motives and intended targets.

The suspect, identified as Cole Tomas Allen, sent a manifesto to his family just minutes before opening fire near the venue. The document reportedly outlined his grievances and included a list of individuals he considered targets. However, notably, FBI Director Kash Patel was not among those named.

Authorities believe the attacker was driven by strong anti-Trump sentiments, with the manifesto indicating hostility toward members of the administration. The document has become a key piece of evidence as federal agencies work to understand the intent behind the attack and assess any broader threats.

The shooting took place during a formal gathering in Washington, where Trump and other senior officials were present. Security personnel quickly intervened, preventing the assailant from reaching the main event area. One officer was injured during the confrontation but was protected by body armour, limiting the severity of injuries.

Investigators also revealed that the suspect had shared the manifesto with family members shortly before the incident, prompting concerns that were relayed to authorities. This early warning may have contributed to the rapid response by law enforcement.

While the manifesto listed several high-ranking figures as potential targets, the absence of Kash Patel’s name has drawn particular attention, given his prominent role as FBI Director. Officials have not publicly commented on why he was excluded.

The accused is now in custody and faces multiple federal charges, with further legal proceedings expected. Authorities continue to examine the contents of the manifesto and the suspect’s background to determine whether additional threats exist or if others were involved.

The incident has once again raised concerns over political violence in the United States, highlighting the challenges faced by security agencies in protecting public figures at large-scale events.
