India Issues Advisory For Nationals In Mali Amid Security Concerns

Johannesburg: Due to recent security developments in the West African nation India on Saturday issued notification to its nationals in Mali to remain highly vigilant, exercise utmost caution and stay indoors.
The Indian Embassy in Bamako said in an advisory, “Due to recent security developments and reported attacks in Kati and others parts of Mali, the Embassy of India in Bamako urges all Indian Nationals residing in Mali to remain highly vigilant, exercise utmost caution, stay indoors, and strictly follow the instructions issued by the Malian authorities from time to time.”
The embassy added that it was coordinating with the Malian authorities and will keep updated as required.
It urged the Indian Nationals to be in touch with the embassy via its official website and its social media accounts to be updated with the ongoing situation.
