Arsenal vs Man City: Arteta Calls for All-Out Effort in Title-Defining Premier League Showdown

Mikel Arteta has issued a rallying call to his Arsenal players ahead of their potentially title-deciding Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday, urging them to leave nothing on the pitch in what could be the defining 90 minutes of their season.
The Gunners head into the contest sitting six points clear at the top of the table, but a shaky run of form just one win from their last five games across all competitions has handed City a lifeline in their pursuit of a ninth Premier League crown.
“Let’s be ourselves and go for it, put everything we have on that pitch,” Arteta said ahead of the marquee fixture. “Have huge belief, have huge conviction and go for it because we are more than capable of doing it.”
The Arsenal manager acknowledged the weight of the moment while urging his squad to focus on the positives, with the club eyeing their first league title in 22 years.
“We are exactly where we want to be, and there have been a lot of positive things, and I don’t see anything that has to hold you back,” the Spaniard added. “We are playing against an opponent that requires the best out of you. It doesn’t get much better than that.”

Arsenal’s dip in form follows a League Cup final defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side last month a result that appeared to reinvigorate City’s title ambitions. Since lifting that first piece of silverware at Wembley, City have found their rhythm with convincing victories over Liverpool and Chelsea.
Guardiola, who would be chasing a seventh league title in 10 seasons at the club, was equally direct about what Sunday demands from his side.
“We need that pressure,” he said. “To compete well against that team, they have to know that if we don’t win, it’s over. They know it, we talk about that.”
The Title Equation
The maths make for gripping reading. If City defeat Arsenal and win their remaining matches, they would finish on 85 points. Arsenal, should they lose Sunday’s game but win all their remaining fixtures, would also end on 85 points. With the two sides level on points, goal difference alone could ultimately determine who lifts the Premier League trophy this season.
