Arshdeep Singh’s Hilarious Reels Steal the Show

India’s T20 World Cup celebrations took a light-hearted turn as pacer Arshdeep Singh treated fans to humorous Instagram reels featuring head coach Gautam Gambhir and standout performer Sanju Samson.

In the aftermath of India’s historic triumph—becoming the first team to successfully defend the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title—Arshdeep wasted no time in capturing the dressing-room camaraderie on social media. The left-arm seamer, known for his on-field aggression and off-field wit, shared clips that quickly drew attention for their playful tone.

One reel showed Arshdeep teasing Gambhir, the usually composed head coach, with a direct appeal: “Paaji, kabhi has bhi liya karo” (Brother, please laugh sometimes). The remark coaxed a rare, broad smile from Gambhir, offering fans a glimpse of the lighter side of the intense leader who guided India to back-to-back glory.

Arshdeep followed up with another amusing interaction involving Sanju Samson, the tournament’s breakout star. Addressing Samson in the frame, he quipped, “Paaji, justice milgaya” (Brother, justice has been served). The line referenced the widespread online discussions and calls for “justice” for Samson, who had faced earlier criticism but delivered a stellar performance in the T20 World Cup.

Samson’s campaign was exceptional: he amassed 321 runs across five innings at an average of 80.25 and a blistering strike rate of 199.37, smashing 27 fours and 24 sixes. He finished as the third-highest run-scorer overall and surpassed Virat Kohli’s 319 runs from the 2014 edition to record the most by an Indian in a single T20 World Cup. His knocks included standout fifties in both the semifinal and final, placing him alongside Kohli and Shahid Afridi in that elite category. Samson’s highest score in a knockout game by an Indian batter also eclipsed previous benchmarks set by Marlon Samuels (85* in 2016) and Kane Williamson (85 in 2021).

The reels, posted from Arshdeep’s account, underscored the joy and unity within the squad following their victory in Ahmedabad (Gujarat), as reported.
