Man Beats 16 Year Boy To Death With Hammer; Eats His Flesh And Drinks Blood

Damoh : Residents of Madhya Pradesh’s Damoh have been left shocked and horrified after witnessing an act of murder and cannibalism in broad daylight. A man bludgeon a 16-year-old boy to death before drinking his blood and eating his flesh. The incident captured on gory videos shot by the locals. The victim, identified as Bharat Vishwakarma, was on his way to visit his sister for the festival of Bhai Dooj and was attacked.

According to police, the accused, Gudda Patel, allegedly ambushed the teenager from behind at around 1:30 pm. Witnesses told investigators that Patel first struck Bharat with an iron rod, knocking him to the ground. He then repeatedly hit the boy with a hammer, inflicting fatal injuries.

Chief Superintendent of Police HR Pandey said, as soon as the boy came out, he was hit in the head and was killed. He was also hit in the head with a rod and a hammer. Gudda Patel ran away and was arrested. What followed, villagers say, was even more disturbing. Eyewitnesses claimed the attacker began drinking blood from the boy’s head and appeared to try to tear flesh from the body. Several bystanders who saw the incident recorded videos on their mobile phones, which later circulated locally and intensified fear and outrage in the area.

Residents said Patel tried to flee toward nearby fields after the attack. Villagers chased him and surrounded him until police arrived. Even as officers reached the spot, the accused reportedly behaved violently and attempted to attack those around him before being restrained. Bharat Vishwakarma was rushed to the district hospital in Damoh, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police said there was no known dispute between the victim and the accused. Family members said the boy had simply been walking to his sister’s house to celebrate Bhai Dooj when the sudden and unprovoked attack took place. Officer Pandey said preliminary findings indicate that the boy was attacked without provocation. Police noted that Patel had a violent criminal past and had previously been imprisoned for killing his wife.

Authorities are now considering a medical evaluation to determine whether the accused may have been suffering from a mental disorder at the time of the attack. Investigators are recording witness statements and examining video footage from the scene as part of the ongoing probe.
