Tractor-Trolley Crash Leaves 18 Devotees Injured in Uttar Pradesh

A tractor-trolley accident injured at least 18 devotees in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, as they traveled back from the Brahmani Devi temple during Navratri festivities, police reported on Thursday.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Abhay Nath Tripathi, the mishap occurred Wednesday evening when a group of 35 worshippers was heading toward the Chitrahat area of Agra. The devotees had just visited the Brahmani Devi temple to offer their prayers when the vehicle veered out of control near Kiratpur village and flipped over, pinning several passengers beneath it.
Hearing the victims’ cries, nearby residents quickly intervened, assisting with rescue efforts alongside police units dispatched to the scene, the ASP explained.
Tripathi noted that 18 of the injured were transported to the Jaswantnagar community health centre for treatment. Of those, five individuals with severe injuries were transferred to Saifai Medical College for advanced care.
