Allu Arjun Controversy: Actor’s Team Denies ’42 Rules’ List As Brand Manager’s Claims Spark Social Media Storm

Telugu film star Allu Arjun has found himself at the center of a social media controversy not for his cinematic work, but over allegations of a peculiar list of protocols that must supposedly be followed when meeting him. The controversy erupted after brand manager Kaveri Baruah made claims during an appearance on the Sweekriti Talks podcast, describing an unusual set of 42 dos and don’ts she allegedly encountered before meeting the actor. The interview clip quickly went viral across platforms.

Baruah, who reportedly worked with Royal Enfield’s brand strategy team, stated during the podcast that prior to meeting Allu Arjun, she received a detailed note outlining strict guidelines. According to her account, these instructions included avoiding direct eye contact with the actor, refraining from handshakes, and maintaining a physical distance of at least three feet.

“Before meeting him, we had a note which had 42 dos and don’ts — don’t look into sir’s eyes, don’t shake your hand,” Baruah claimed during the interview.

She further alleged that the actor works through multiple tiers of management, describing them as “very strict” and operating with “a manager’s manager’s manager.” However, when pressed for additional details by the interviewer, Baruah declined to elaborate further, saying, “Mere ko kya pata? Aur nahi bataungi main (How would I know? I won’t say anything else).” This hesitation left many online users questioning the credibility of her statements.

Following the viral spread of the interview, Allu Arjun’s team swiftly issued a statement dismissing the allegations as completely false and baseless. The official clarification warned that legal proceedings would be initiated against those spreading the claims.

“Certain recent comments made about MrAllu Arjunare completely baseless and untrue. He has always conducted himself with the utmost dignity and honour. We take these false allegations seriously. Our legal team is initiating defamation proceedings against those responsible. We request everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information,” the statement read.

The note was posted on X by Allu Arjun’s team, accompanied by a caption stating, “A recent video spreading baseless allegations about @alluarjun garu is completely false. The matter is being taken seriously, and legal action is being initiated against those responsible. Kindly refrain from sharing unverified content.”

As the controversy intensified, podcast host Sweekriti deleted the interview on Tuesday, citing coordinated harassment directed at both herself and her guest. In an Instagram story, she explained her decision to remove the content.

“I’ve removed the video after my guest faced coordinated harassment from PR machinery and bot accounts,” Sweekriti wrote.

She expressed concern for her guest’s professional wellbeing, stating, “She holds a responsible position in a reputed organisation, and I refuse to let her career be jeopardized due to online bullying. The discussion was factual and professional, not defamatory. But protecting a real person will always take priority over engaging with power that refuses accountability.”

Sweekriti also criticized Allu Arjun and his team directly, calling them “sheer losers, & just power hungry.”

In subsequent posts, she alleged she was being targeted by the actor’s public relations team and supporters. “A woman can’t live in peace & make content on the internet!! Shocking. Allu Arjun PR is attacking me. Well, abusing me, saying negative things about me, can never pull me down. Keep going, bots,” she wrote.

She also posted, “I finally understand what happens when people speak the truth,” and called on members of the Telugu film industry to speak up. The host shared screenshots of what she described as derogatory comments from Allu Arjun’s fans on social media.

In the wake of the podcast’s virality, an alleged list of dos and don’ts began circulating widely on X and Reddit. The purported instructions included addressing the actor as ‘sir’ at all times and keeping hands visible rather than in pockets, among other guidelines.
