Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Inaugurate Advanced Emergency Hospital in Haridwar, Participate in Cultural Programmes

Haridwar : Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Haridwar on Thursday, January 22, where he will formally launch a major healthcare initiative and engage in several significant religious and cultural activities.
The day’s proceedings begin at 10:00 a.m. at Maharshi Dayanand Gram within the Patanjali Yogpeeth complex. There, Shah will inaugurate the Patanjali Emergency and Critical Care Hospital. This new facility is designed to bolster emergency medical services in the region, offering specialized treatment for critically ill patients and addressing the healthcare demands of local residents as well as the large number of pilgrims who frequent the area.
The inauguration is viewed as an important step toward enhancing medical infrastructure in Uttarakhand’s spiritual hub, ensuring quicker and more effective care during emergencies.
Following the hospital launch, the minister is expected to take part in various religious, cultural, and social events throughout the day in Haridwar. These programmes align with the broader focus of his two-day Uttarakhand tour, which began on Wednesday in Rishikesh with the release of the centenary issue of Gita Press’s monthly magazine ‘Kalyan’- a publication long associated with preserving and promoting Sanatan traditions and Indian cultural values.
