A nine-seater IndiaOne Air plane en route from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar crashed in Odisha on Saturday, officials confirmed. The reason behind the accident remains unclear.
The flight carried seven people—six passengers and one pilot—and went down about 10-15 kilometers from Rourkela.
Rescue operations kicked off immediately after reports surfaced. Teams rushed to the site, rushing the injured to a nearby hospital for urgent care. A tourism department team from Bhubaneswar is also heading there to evaluate the scene.
An investigation is underway to pinpoint the crash’s cause and circumstances. Officials stressed that a definitive finding will emerge only post-probe.
Local administration stays vigilant, coordinating security and support, as the region braces for more updates amid rising concerns.
