Congress Posts AI Video Of PM Selling Tea At Red Carpet Event, Political Firestorm Triggers; BJP Hits Back

New Delhi : A controversy erupted after a Congress leader shared an AI-generated video showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi selling tea at what appeared to be a red-carpet event. The BJP quickly condemned the video, accusing the Congress of “abusing” the PM. The video depicts the Prime Minister in a light blue coat and black trousers, carrying a kettle and tea glasses at a red-carpet event.

A voice, mimicking that of PM Modi can be heard saying, “Chai bolo, chaiye (Anyone wants tea).” The Prime Minister had earlier claimed that he used to sell tea at a train station in Gujarat.
Lashing out at the Congress, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said: “After Renuka Choudhary insulted Parliament and the Sena, now Ragini Nayak has attacked and mocked Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Chaiwala’ background.”

The elite Congress cannot accept a hardworking PM from the OBC community who rose from a humble background. They have mocked his ‘Chaiwala’ roots before, abused him over 150 times, and even targeted his mother in Bihar. On September 10, the 36-second video, labelled “AI GENERATED,” depicted the Prime Minister dreaming about his late mother, who is shown criticising him over his politics in the state, which went to the polls last month.

The video triggered a fresh round of heated exchanges between the BJP and Congress amid an already tense Winter Session of Parliament. BJP spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra accused the Congress of repeatedly lowering the dignity of Parliament. He criticised remarks made by Rahul Gandhi and MP Renuka Chowdhury, who had earlier described those “sitting in Parliament” as “the ones who bite” while responding to questions about bringing her pet dog to the premises.
