Udupi : Naya Bharat Won’t Bow Down, Our Sudarshan Chakra Will Destroy Enemies’: PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi : PM Narendra Modi on Friday invoked the strength and resolve of New Bharat as he addressed the gathering at the Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana programme at Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi, Karnataka. The Prime Minister said, “Humara Sudarshan Chakra dushman ko tabah karde (Our Sudarshan Chakra would destroy the enemies). “Earlier, when such terrorist attacks happened, the government used to do nothing.

While the Sudarshana Chakra is a heavenly discus that represents divine wisdom, spiritual energy, and cosmic justice, the Indian Air Force’s S-400 air defence missile systems, having similar qualities and the ability to destroy evil from a distance, have been nicknamed ‘Sudarshan Chakra’. The Prime Minister arrived at the ancient Sri Krishna Matha after holding a roadshow in Udupi, where large crowds lined up to welcome him.

The participants included students, monks, scholars, and citizens from different walks of life. Ahead of addressing the crowd, PM Modi inaugurated the Suvarna Teertha Mantapa, located in front of the Krishna sanctum, and dedicated the Kanaka Kavacha, the golden cover for the sacred Kanakana Kindi. Taking the stage, PM Modi expressed his emotional connection to the occasion.

Recalling his recent visit to Kurukshetra, he remarked, “Three days ago, I was in the land of the Gita, Kurukshetra. Now today, coming to this land of the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna and the glory of Jagadguru Shri Madhvacharya ji is an opportunity of supreme satisfaction for me. Highlighting the scale of the collective recitation, PM Modi noted, “On this occasion today, when 1 lakh people recited verses from the Bhagavad Gita together, the people of the entire world have also witnessed the divine splendour of India’s thousands of years.”

Being in the divine presence of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and experiencing the spiritual grace of the sacred verses of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita fills me with a depth that words struggle to hold. For me, this moment feels like receiving countless merits and boundless grace, he added. The Prime Minister also asked his security personnel to collect paintings of him made by children present at the venue, acknowledging their affection.
